About Me

I see beauty all around me in everything and I make pictures of it. I love to photograph people and the places I explore.

WHAT I DO

I am a Calgary-based finance professional/wedding and elopement photographer. I have photographed all around the world and love the process of exploring through a camera lens. I sell prints and am available for commercial assignments.

BACKGROUND

I play hockey and most other sports when I’m not working. I spend time with the three loves of my life: my wife Jacqueline, my son Laird and daughter Francesca. Whether we’re hiking in the mountains or spending time in Canmore, hanging out with them is the best, and they’re my favourite photographic subjects.

When I was a kid, my parents had a black and white darkroom. They were amateur photographers who worked in colour as well, and I grew up surrounded by pictures of family and friends and fun times.  

My family life, then and now, has taught me a lot about people and has a big influence on my photography. Being around them and paying attention to fine details and small moments, allows me to tell the big story.
